Previously, Neil served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Fusion-io where he was responsible for company strategy, product definitions, roadmaps, corporate development and strategic partnerships and key customer acquisitions.
Prior to Fusion-io, Neil was Chief Application Architect at Dell, where he led the platform architecture team across MessageOne, Everdream, Silverback Networks and other acquired development groups. Neil joined Dell through the acquisition of Everdream where he was Chief Architect.
Neil has also held roles at BMC/Remedy and Liberate Technologies, including Principal Product Architect and Principal Engineer. Neil has served as a technical advisor for startups Oxygen Finance and Datera Inc.
Neil earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from Cranfield University.
Prior to Yellowbrick, Jason was the Vice President of Business Operations and Customer Engagement for the Enterprise Division at SanDisk, where he led the tactical and strategic planning for supply and demand. Jason joined SanDisk in 2014 through the acquisition of Fusion-io, where he was Senior Vice President of Operations. He was responsible for day-to-day operations including business operations and planning, global procurement, supply chain planning, manufacturing, logistics and customer program management.
He joined Fusion-io in January 2011 as Vice President of Corporate Development, responsible for M&A strategy, execution and strategic planning activities. Prior to Fusion-io, Jason held various roles at Micron, Numonyx and Intel in Strategic Business Development, Corporate Development and Product Development. He began his career in the RF industry working for TRW and Powerwave Technologies in product design, development and management.
Jason earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and holds seven United States patents.
Marc brings more than 15 years of experience in growing sales teams for B2B SaaS companies. Prior to joining Yellowbrick, he held several positions at Splash, a B2B SaaS event marketing platform, the most recent as the VP Revenue overseeing all Sales and Customer Success functions. Marc also served as the Senior Analyst, Global Sales Operations and Strategy at MongoDB, Sales Executive at Bloomberg, and as the Global Sales Director at Thomson Reuters prior to joining Splash. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), Finance, Economics from the NYU Stern School of Business.
Before joining Yellowbrick, Mark was Vice President for Data and Analytics at Teradata, where he led a variety of product management and technology teams in data warehouse and advanced analytics groups.
He was also Chief Architect of Teradata’s IoT Analytics effort. Mark joined Teradata in 2014 when Teradata acquired the startup RainStor, where he was a co-founding developer and Chief Architect. Prior to RainStor, Mark was a lead scientist in the UK Ministry of Defence.
Mark holds a Ph.D. in computational physics from Newcastle University, UK, with a thesis centered on discovering the electronic and non-linear optical properties of quantum dots. As a research fellow at Newcastle, he developed new techniques to model these novel quantum structures using large-scale parallel and distributed computing approaches.
Torben has been in the tech industry for more than 30 years and joined Yellowbrick early in 2015 as a software developer. He is currently overseeing software & hardware engineering worldwide as Vice President. During his career, Torben has spent the majority of his time at the lower parts of the stack, leading numerous teams working with kernels, drivers, embedded open-source systems, and the inner workings of networking stacks. Based in Denmark, his career spans many global companies working in the fields of storage, server design, green tech, IT, and databases.
Mark Brinicombe is the co-founder and architect of Yellowbrick Data. Prior to cofounding Yellowbrick, Mark was a principal architect at Fusion-io (acquired by SanDisk) where he was responsible for significant developments in memory products, firmware, and drivers. Before Fusion-io, Mark was a principal engineer and architect for Everdream, a SaaS IT systems management platform acquired by Dell where he then held positions as a product strategist and architect. Mark has also held architect and developer positions at BMC Software, Liberate Technologies, and Network Computer Inc, and he cofounded the OS consulting company, Casualty Limited.
Mark holds Bsc and advanced degrees in science, astrophysics, and physics from King’s College in London.
Prior to Yellowbrick, Jim was at Menlo Ventures, where he focused on sourcing investments in the enterprise technology sector. He has twice stood on the podium of the New York Exchange and rung in venture-backed start-up IPOs, creating billions of dollars of market capitalization for investors. His expertise is defining and executing successful sales strategies in the enterprise technology space. Previously, Jim was the Chief Sales Officer at Fusion-io, Vice President of World Wide Sales at 3PAR, Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Scale 8, and a Vice President at Data General Corporation responsible for the Clariion storage business internationally, starting as a member of the original Clariion business unit.
Jim graduated from Weber State College with a BA in Economics and completed an internship working for the US Senate Committee of Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. Jim has worked and lived in Washington D.C., Tokyo Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Cameron, Montana. Jim is fluent in Japanese and can make sushi.
